No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries October 2013

First UU of the month my aloe vera deodrant:( Think I'll get those ones next as they are better than the other ones I have left for sure. Smell nicer too.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
I'm in for October please
Even though I only recently joined the thread I've noticed it really has spurred me on to use up stuff. Even my husband has noticed my myriad of baskets, boxes and stacks of toiletries have gone down in the bathroom. Seeing things disappear is really giving me the motivation to push on and I even left Boots without anything extra to the one thing I went in for which I did actually need.
I still haven't done my stash list. Currently trying to finish all my work for a course I've been doing for the past year as it needs to be done before the baby arrives. When things have calmed down a bit I will get round to compiling a list - I like the idea if carrying around a copy of it in your bag so you can double check it before buying anything.
A friend of mine once put up a quote on her FB about not keeping things for best (like in the thread description) and I'm really trying to put that into action as I'm very guilty of doing that myself. Why keep things for best? Treat each day as if its your bestOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Yup. You are worth it, those products are meant to be used, not to sit in bathrooms and bedrooms, gathering dust, or sitting in drawers. I used up all my "pink rose candles" (see sig. and intro) a long time ago.
Will have some more "ordinary" UUs soon.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Over the past few days I've used up quite a lot of mini products, trial sizes, perfume samples and GWPs.
Have got a few splutterers on the go at the moment and going to start sifting through my stash boxes and move some things across to my currently using pile. Still think there's going to be quite a lot to put on the swaps group thoughOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -

i also have a sheet with lists and pictures of all the things ive decided are my HGs so whenever im temped to give into things i dont love, i can look at i and remind myself i can have the product i really really love if i dont waste money and time on things i dont like just because its there and cheap.
That's my problem - seeing something on a good offer and buying it even though I may never have tried it and certainly won't love it. Much better to buy just the things you love and the odd new thing here and there.FairyShazza wrote: »I'm in for October please

So true, I used to save things but now I just enjoy what I have.
Have my first uu of October
Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil -2g - WBA and have another this size and a full size in the stash. I prised the bottom off the pot to get the last bit out but in fairness there was barely any left so the click and lock packaging is more efficient than I expected.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

thanks sundaygirl am in again.
well started the month being very bad:rotfl:recently joined John Lewis beauty club(from their website if I remember) and had an email before my holiday with coupons for samples, went in store thinking there would be none left BUT came away with
Estee Launder week supply of serum
clarins as above
Elizabth Arden similar capsules
so 3/4 still available:)
Then went to Molten Brown with a £10 off £20 spent coupon from a mag(?GH)bought a handwash and hand cream and got a free mini wash
Then Occitanne where they did not have the divine lotion I had a coupon for but gave me a small hand cream worth £8 instead:)
THEN(OMG) into boots
Benefit little love potions for £29.50 which is supposedly 60% off full price items, will use 6/10 and sell the rest....did actually want primer and as lasts well anyway the mini were ideal
plus 3 fro 2 on pantene shampoo/cond for thickening old hair:rotfl:plus 200 extra points coupon plus no 7 skincare £5 off so got wipes for £2(did need some)why are they so dear tho???!!!
so can I please bring a cushion to the naughty step?my excuse is need cheering up as feeling grotty due to foot and other problems and starting physio tomorrow(and its raining!)0 -

who makes this?
I have a UU - Time Delay facial exfoliator - bought a few years ago with a Boots glitch reduced to £2 and get 200ACM points back :T so FREE! Well would be silly not to. Anyway think this could be the last one in the stash for me.
I do have several INs - Tesco facial scrub/wash is on 3for2 but there's a voucher in the Boots mag for £1 off when buying 2, so works out at 50p when buying 6. I bought 6. Also their facial wipes were 3for2, at 45p each = 30p each for 3, I use these in my gym bag which reminds me I think I finished the last of my wipes last month and not reported them and because I've been off work this week
not been in the gym bag.
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
The best thing I did to reduce my stash was to collect it all together and store in one place. Well, actually it's 3 boxes and a drawer but you get the idea. Just seeing how much I have helps. I keep a list of HG items too so that when I want to replace something I know where to turn.Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

I just have to post this, I'm in complete shock!
My friend Tori announced about three weeks ago that she was about 8-10 weeks pregnant.....then.......she goes for the scan and finds out she's actually THIRTY-ONE weeks pregnant.....then....this morning comes the announcement that she gave birth LAST NIGHT!!!
Eight weeks early so the baby is staying in Neonatal for a few weeks but they're both doing well, I just cannot get over the shock!!! I am so used to friends posting about being sick of being pregnant as they're a week overdue and all the planning, these two haven't even had time to buy a pram let alone sort out the nursery!
It must be so much for them as it's their first, but they're obviously so happy, bless them:D:D
Oh and those who don't want to buy shower gel, stay off the l'occitane sale xxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
