Lifespan of dividend cheques

My mum passed away a few years back and as the beneficiary, I transferred here share accounts over to my brother and myself.

It now transpires that we missed one. We are in the process of doing this, but what is the situation with the quarterly dividend cheques? These were all issued in her name - can we ask for these to be reissued in mine? If so, is there a limit to how far back this can go?

Or is it (as I suspect) lost funds?

You need to contact the share registrar, both to transfer the shares to yourself and to request re-issue of the dividends. They will probably charge a fee for re-issue of dividends.
