sofa repair or replacement

i purchased a leather three seater from a well known supermarket
after three months the end cushions are sagging the store sent out fira
to inspect it, the fellow said he could put some webbing in or ask the store for a replacment, he said they would send the exact model again
and you might be back to square one, in a few month time, i said id like a replacement, the store rang me and asked if id like a replacement, i said what about a partial refund, i suggested 150 pound
they agreed, im stuck with either getting a replacement or taking the 150 pound, or a full refund with them taking away the sofa, the cushions are not removable, id like opinions on what course i should take, i paid 400 for the sofa

If they will give you a full refund ie the £400 you paid I would take it.
From what is being said looks like this problem will recur and you will be back to square one.

  • then ill be looking for another 400 pound sofa which i assume will be more or less the same build quality for that amount, i wonder if 150 would cover an upholsterer putting in some webbing

Well my sofa was over 9 years old , badly abused by a couple of teenagers over the years. Fabric was ok but the seat was sagging , I paid less than £150 to get the webbing replaced and even upgraded , sofa looks as good as new.
