  • I tried being organised last year - it lasted until 2nd!! I do the dailies & normal comps first & then whatever advents I can fit in

I do look forward to the Advents but have to admit that come Boxing Day I am so relieved they are over!

And that's just the nice ones that don't end on December 31st!

Not sure if I'll do the advents this year. The last time I tried, I got burned out and quit comping for six months :D

Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions. Like BlueBella said, I am going to have to cut out other things if I want to do the advents. I am not prepared to run myself ragged, so something will just have to go.

I am looking forward to them this year. I didn't enter many last year.....but this year I have a bit more time on my hands :)

How do I set up bookmark folders though? I can't see an option to create any :/ I use FF.

Bookmarks/Show all bookmarks/Organise - then click on where in the tree you want to add the new folder, if this makes sense.

I seem to remember last year I tried to keep up with everything (advents, dailies and normal comps) - lasted till 14th Dec and then had to give up on normal comps cos I just couldn't fit it all in along with stuff like shopping, wrapping etc!!

Lord knows how I'll manage this year!

the 'open all in tabs' button saves an awful lot of clicking

I never realised I could do this!

me neither, that's great. I keep my dailies in one folder and this will make them much quicker!

The other thing I learned on here (apart from the Roboform 'no thanks' trick) was that I can use Cntl- to make the screen smaller. I use this for magazine dailies so that I dont have to keep scrolling the screen and that has speeded things up a bit too.

I just put them in a folder called "Advents" and worked my way through them everyday.

I will have less time to do them this year, as I'm working p/t now and I was unemployed last December!
