bid tv customer services

You know that bidup tv on freeview? Well, what a nightmare i've just had with their customer services!!! My email to them:
Today i took delivery of an item my wife ordered prior to leaving the country for a week. However, upon opening the item i discovered that it was damaged. Therefore I, her husband, contacted your customer services.

I informed the male customer services person (name not provided) of my name and relationship to the account holder, however, the customer services person then went into automatic mode and kept repeating he could not assist me. I explained i do not wish to know any details of the account, or discuss anything, i am calling them to inform them that the item is damaged.

I, again, was hit with the automatic replies. So i requested to speak to a supervisor and was informed that was not possible, i politely insisted i speak with a supervisor. The customer services person stated very abruptly "call back later" and disconnected the call!! I am disgusted at the operators behaviour and will be putting my complaint in writing.

With regards to the order, please could a replacement be arranged

Bloody annoying if i have to sit here for a week staring at a broken piece of furniture because they won't help me!

I have had the same problems in the past with bidtv customer services. If the item you order is ok then they are great, quick delivery etc, but the minute you hit a problem with your order the customer services team i've found are rude and unhelpful.

Once this is sorted i won't be ordering from them again.

If it was ordered with your credit card or a joint one I'd be tempted to try get a chargeback - then wait for them to come for the goods.
