Just bought this today, & they've removed all the free entry routes
Also last week's Sunday Express magazine (owned by same group) had replaced their email entry with postal entry.
Hope not too many others do the same!Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

GMTV's managing director, Paul Corley, is to resign, it has been announced.
The announcement came as the station unveiled a package of measures aimed at restoring viewer confidence in its daily prize competitions. Mr Corley will leave as soon as the new initiatives, which include offering refunds to entrants who were wrongly excluded, and a £250,000 charitable donation, have been implemented, GMTV said.
Mr Corley said the station apologised "unreservedly" for the errors, and hoped his resignation, along with the new measures, would help "restore trust" in GMTV.
He said: "We know that competitions are popular with our viewers and GMTV hopes to bring them back when the right controls are in place. These measures are intended to show viewers that the company will have the right systems and compliance procedures in the future to ensure that this will not happen again.
"It is important that people take responsibility when mistakes are made that threaten the trust of our viewers. I hope that my resignation, and the strong measures we have put in place, will help to restore that trust in GMTV."
Mr Corley said a database of possible affected entrants had now been compiled. Anyone who believes they may have been affected can contact GMTV free of charge on the internet or phone to apply for a refund.
The package of measures announced will see 250 free prize draws held at the end of August for affected entrants, each with a £10,000 prize, as well as refunds. A £250,000 donation will be made to children's charity Childline.
Opera Telecom, GMTV's former service provider, will be contributing towards the costs of remedies, the station said.
GMTV also announced a number of new strict measures for the management of future premium rate "interactivity", including the appointment of a compliance officer who will have specific responsibility for ensuring the processes for premium rate service are followed correctly, both internally and externally.
There will also be regular inspections of any outside companies and no premium rate competition will conclude within the same daily programme. All competition finalists and winners will be randomly selected by GMTV employees in GMTV offices0 -
That's a shame ~ had a win from that one ~ I suppose you can't blame them ~ they want people to visit their sites. If only the email addy and answers are published on here, they don't get the visitors on the site. That's the main reason I like to know where I am entering from and if possible enter from their link.
I think it's just that the Express group are tight! They never bothered developing a site for New mag - that's why there was so much kerfuffle when I posted the giveaways last week, as you had to enter on the same page as the Daily Express newspaper ones.
It does seem to go against the trend, as one of the mags that used to be post/fax/text has recently introduced a website haven't they? I'm quite happy to visit their sites rather than just email, but I think it's a bit short-sighted not to have a web address at all for that type of magazine. I'm sure they get quite a bit of trafficAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

Well done on the win. Think I would just leave it - its their mistake, and you have tried to contact them - is there no email address you could try rather than the online form?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
cant see one on the site - the site is run by The Independant - but I think it may confuse matters if I contact them. I would think all the papers have their own individual offices.
Ill try the form again tomorrow - it will make me feel better that at least Ive tried. Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
Yeah well at least if they get in touch you can say that you tried to get in touch with them but couldnt. Did the prize come by special delivery or have to be signed for or did it just come normal post?Weight Loss - 102lb0
