Its so much easier to keep in touch these days...pick the right one and it does teach children to less selfish, and be more open and loving to trusted adults.I personally would never hire an au pair, we always had one as children, this meant we became attached to the person who cared for us who would then leave after 12 months, its like losing your parents every year.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!0 -

Probably the most helpful post of the lot.
No age restrictions for EU citizens however. But your opening post said you specifically wanted a non EU citizen?0 -
Yes, I was looking for an age reference earlier but couldn't find one. I was thinking of recruiting from a Commonwealth rather than EU nation (am also considering adopting from abroad so a cultural match would be even better). No age restrictions for EU citizens however. That might be a better idea, - they a least wouldn't have the language barrier that a lot of au pairs have. I wouldn't want to be in charge of a child in a foreign country and not be able to speak the lingo fluently. What if something happened? :eek:0
