Thank you everyone. I usually avoid Lidl fruit and veg, because it never lasts very long. But maybe it's because I'm going on the wrong day/time.
I think someone mentioned earlier that it's better during the week than at weekends for some reasonso would that help in your case ???
In my local Lidl I think the fruit & veg is OK because my nextdoor neighbour has recommended it before and she's got her head screwed on the right wayYou should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:

I think you will find Lidl fresh fruit & veg is not treated with chemicals to keep it, those wicked Continentals like "pure" food not adulterated stuff that we are fobbed off with
If you are used to buying once a week this may give you some problems with perishable itemsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
ive never had a problem with lidl fruit and veg however find the later in the day i go the less selection there is, live near a very popular lidi so tend to sell out and shelf resotcking can be poor later on in the day. much better than the co-op 200ms down the road which always has fruit and veg that is starting to go bad and full of those horrid little flystwins on board0

OH went down yesterday at about 3pm and got 3 peppers, king edwards pots (2.5kg)...these are lovely, organic carrots, pointed cabbage, local brocolli, 7 peaches, pineapple, gem lettuce x 2 and a cucumber for under £5.00
All was fresh.
