New baby car seat position in back - drivers side or passenger side

When we only had one, we went for passenger side.
When I drive, there isn't space for a rear facing seat behind the driver's seat. It also makes parking on the road easier - the baby is on the pavement side of the road when you pull over.0 -
When I drove with a baby in the back, the baby was right behind me. That way squalks were one of two sorts - cute or leap for the hard shoulder.
When I drove with a passenger up front, baby in same place, but passengers job to look!0 -
baby car seats have always gone behind the passenger in our car. OH drives with the seat really far back and he couldn't get it far enough back with the baby seat behind. Also we live on a bust main road where we have to park at the side of the road so passenger side is always to the kerb so naturally the best choice. Now we have 2, DD is behind the driver and can climb across easily and put her own belt on x0
