Breakdown service

I am with another breakdown service and I recently had to use their services. I lost my carkey, I called the services , the car was broken into but no key. I was given the choice of getting another key, or recovery . I choose recover, a private owned recovery truck turned up. I was told that there would be charge of £71.50 because my wheels were not straight and they had to use block and lifting gear. I had my disabled parent with me who struggle to into the truck The driver only had bits of wood to make the reach higher. When we reached our destination , my parent slipped on the bits of wood and banged her elbow causing bruising.
My membership is for breakdown and recovery, so I was shocked and upset at having to pay £71.50 and also there were no facilities for a disable passenger.
Has anyone else had this problem?

You already posted the episode in another thread.
The AA rep even offered to look further into the matter for you, have you not taken up their offer?0 -
You failed to tell them about the disabled passenger. Had no specific cover for disabled passengers. So not their fault.
And as mentioned in your other thread. Although i would have thought £71.50 towards the recovery it is in the terms and conditions.
The driver was trying to be helpful and all you want to do is complain. After your complaint they could be instructed to leave other motorists stranded next time.
Not able bodied enough to climb into the truck then we cannot send a truck.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
