I do have my doubts but if she was an English older lady I probably wouldn't have even stared this thread which says some unpleasant things about me.
No it doesnt. Just because genetically we are all pretty much the same. We are neither worse or better than anyone else because our genes tell our skin to be dark or light and our hair to be fizzy or straight, it does not mean that we all share the same cultural values.
In some countries life is unbelievably hard and brutish. You only survive by taking on these characteristics yourself. The characteristics of a society can rub off on members of that society.0 -
I've decided against letting the room to anyone for now. Thank you for all your advice.Emergency savings: 4600
0% Credit card: 1965.000 -
When I let rooms, i found advertising for a lodger at the local hospital paid dividends as you tended to attract a better standard if lodger, I had a few Drs stay with me over the and they were great lodgers always paid on time and a couple from warmer climes made the most delicious food.0

Or people rise above these things and emerge stronger characters. Certainly the worst people ive met, have been in England. Now thats not all english people, because ive met loads of nice people here too.
But cultural differences work both ways. And i would say social differences are more pertinent in alot of cases0 -
