If you do this throughout the year, you will have a stash of things that can make up a personalised gift basket or stocking filler. There's also t'internet - sign up to Quidco or Topcashback and shop through there for presents - a couple of months later you'll get cashback which you can use to treat yourself or put into a savings account.
Remember, a present doesn't have to cost a fortune but should give the impression that it was carefully chosen. And anyone who turns their noses up at simple, inexpensive gifts doesn't deserve to get presents. It is really the thought that counts.
I was just going to buy cheap but nice mugs and give my family a hot choc gift set I can buy a big bag of marshmallows and put a handful or so in each cup so I don't have to buy 6 little bags, I can buy little sachets of different hot chocloate as they are £1 for 4 in tesco and I'll just buy some chocolate chips to go with it and I'll try to gift wrap it.
Do you think that will be okay for a joint present for
my Aunties and uncles
and my cousin and her partner?
I'm stuck on a joint present for my nan and grandad.
I got paid today and here's my budget for now:
£235.00 (I got paid £228.00 but had a little extra in my bank)
£100 - Repayments
£100 - Left in bank
£35 - Christmas Shopping
I know there will be extra which I may put aside for Christmas presents.
Oh and I'm here to claim my NSD number 4
I Haven't been added to the in-a-row. My target was 3-in-row but I completed it so I'm going to try for a 5 in a row.

3 NSDs for me I am claiming today, as although I am going our for a drink tonight. I know I wont be allowed to pay for anything, but was given £46.00 expenses today (mileage), so I will keep £16 of that in my purse, just in case, and throw £30 in the savings pot.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Charleybear -the hot choc gift sets sound lovely. If you can make some home made chocolate brownies to go with them, that would round the present off nicely and keep to the chocolate theme! I am sure someone on these forums will be able to post a simple recipe, and a few brownies wrapped in a cellophane gift bag with twirly ribbon will really look good (try poundstores etc for cellophane gift bags and ribbons.)One life - your life - live it!0

I give my aunt and uncles joint presents. This year I'm doing two home made infused oils, bought some nice bottles online and using the rosemary from our garden for one. They don't really need anything to keep long term iykwim so this gives them a gift to use.
Have a look on the Xmas 2013 threads and you'll find some recipes for 'snowman soup' which is basically presenting ingredients for a hot choc for Xmas.
No NSD here still *hangs head* picked up the card I forgot to buy yesterday and also some tea bags for DM when I see her tomorrow.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
