I did not question him about that but i feel he believed he had set up arrangements for me to reside in the family house as long as necessary.
Unfortunately i will never know what he meant by that comment.
It depends how the trust is written up. They could invest the money into something other than a bank which could allow for a healthy return. For example that 80k could be used to buy a property which can then be rented. Depending on location etc that could realise you £400 a month. That would get you two or three holidays a year.
