can some pleas advise where ican get suitcases wiehed be for I travel

As not wish to pay exess chargs at the airport ?

Go to poundland, they sell Travel scales for, yup a quid, and that will give you a good idea where your weight is currently with your case.

Or if you have bathroom scales, weigh yourself holding the case. Then get off and weigh yourself without the case. Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number = case weight.

hi tried the bath room scales but did that last time and when i got to airport was over the limt set by airline thus had to pay money

MMM sounds like you need new scales.

As previous poster says weigh yourself on your own in kg and then weigh yourself with the case in kilos, subtract one from the other.

better to get a friend to check the scale as it can be a bit difficult to see and stand still.

we use our wii fit for this purpose.
it's about all the use the wii fit gets nowadays, but still.

it's always been quite consistent with the scales at the airport.

as for cheap luggage scales the second time I used ours the pointer/needle thingy inside pinged off and rendered the whole thing useless.

Take less stuff, that way you won't risk going over the airline's limit. Unless you are emigrating nobody actually needs to take the vast amounts you see in some people's cases.

The trouble with bathroom scales (or my old ones anyway) is that there's a very small gap between each kg marker and zeroing them exactly is next to impossible

The case they said was (roughly) 20kg turned out to be 18 at the airport. At least the error was in the right direction.

Just weigh the suitcase on the scales then take some stuff out to be on the safe side.
tbh we've never been overweight on luggage but then we haven't really got loads of clothes - just trousers and a few shirts for him and a dress and trousers/skirt and a few tops for me.
