If you are running XP, have you turned off the system restore before you run your scans? It could be that system restore is putting the trojan back after it has been quarantined by your antivirus.

i have used Avast very successfully to remove tojans/diallers/viruses. there is an option to scan on boot up, which basically scans your whole drive (including restore points)before windows loads up! there should be a link at the top of the board in the security sticky

p.s make sure you update the definitions (there is an auto update option) so the program has more chance of finding and removing the trojan

As Rex says....if the trojan keeps coming back it's because it's lodged itself in system restore! pesky bu***r!!!
Disable/turn OFF system restore...then open up your anti virus software and schedule a BOOT scan and reboot. That should do it fingers crossed..then run ALL your anti spyware programs ensuring they remove any naughty bits n bobs....THEN ENABLE system restore again. Good luck.

No, it's not the same thing. I don't know how to turn off system restore in your system but presumably you have found how to do that? First turn off system restore, then reboot your computer pressing F8 as it starts up and choose safe mode. Then run your antivirus and other things like AdAware, Spybot if you have them. If you haven't got them links can be found under FAQ's - "Internet Security" which is a sticky at the top of this board. Once you have run these in safe mode, reboot and turn on system restore.
