Using our address?

Options
Due to personal circumstances my daughters boyfriend has been staying with us for the last few months.
He has a car on finance and a contract mobile phone, he has a full time job and up until now he pays his commitments. However he still has his address with these companies as his previous address, it is very unlikely he will go back there to stay so really should be changing his address. I am slightly reluctant to let him use our address incase he were to default on any payments (don't have any reason to believe he will but ultimately he is a young guy who we really have no control over re his finances) - we both work and have a good credit rating and have never had any trouble getting finance hence my concern if he defaulted on payments would it then affect our credit rating as its our address, worst case scenario debt collectors etc?
I think he could use one of his parents as an address for this stuff but believe the parent may be claiming benefits so unsure if him using that as an address could lead to any problems with benefits?
Am I being overly cautious and worrying unnecessarily or is this something I should be concerned about?

Addresses don't have credit histories - people do. As long as you have no financial connection to him then any search on your credit history will show nothing about him.

The worst that could happen is if he were to default on finance then you might have to deal with visits from debt collectors.

Thanks for the information - very useful to know that.
