Problems obtaining Equifax and Experian Statutory Credit Report

Hello there :)

As the title says, I'm having trouble obtaining Equifax and Experian credit reports (statutory). Nor am I able to get the Noddle one either :S

Everything seems to be ok when filling out the details with Equifax (Name, addresses, payment, username, password)... after I click to go on to the next page, it tells me to enter the username and password which does not work. I have tried it twice over the last few months (last time was about a week ago). I haven't been charged with these attempts. Trying to find a number on equifax is near impossible, unless you can log in lol.

Now with experian, I tried obtaining my experian statutory report last February/March. I got the email saying my report is available and that I would receive my pin in 3 working days. I didn't receive my passkey so I emailed the email address given when you don't receive your passkey. Got a response, they would send another one. Again nothing, again emailed and got a response. Again nothing. About that time I was moving house, so I had lost track. I did get charged for this. Fast forward to today, I have paid another £2 to see my report, I have received my email saying my passkey will be with me in 3 working days, and that was on the 24th September. I know I haven't given much more time. But I am starting to worry that it will be the same situation as before. I will wait until tomorrow evening to see if the passkey arrives and if not I will have to email about it.

Noddle will not wok for me as it does not recognize any of the debit cards as verification (one is over 10 years old and one is 6 years old). I will have to try one of my credit cards once they are 3 months old.

I just think it is strange that I am having problems will all of the credit report agencies. Any ideas how I can solve any of these problems?

Thanks in advance.

I agree it does seem strange.

Sometimes problems like your are related to problems with addresses or an address format.

Are you on the electoral roll at the address you live at now/the address you used to obtain your file?

Did you write your address in the same format as is used on the electoral roll (e.g. particularly if you have a flat number and house number this seems to create problems).

One way round this would be to order your credit files in the post.

In terms of equifax phone numbers - you could try
    call 0844 335 0550 (020 7298 3000, and asking for customer services
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give
or "It costs nowt to be nice"

    Hi 'firefly'.

Can you tell me please what you mean when you said you got charged for it??

I'm having trouble accessing my stat report online, and we're in the middle of sending emails back and forth, and I keep asking them now to send me it by post.

For the Experian statutory report, just request a printed copy in the post.
They have to send a 'code' in the post for the online version, and the online version vanishes after a short period. So get them to post a version that doesn't vanish.
