Can you change marble fireplace into another colour?

I have a marble fireplace which is green and I'm sure I read somewhere that you can treat it, and turn it into another colour? Any ideas folks?

  • Never heard of it.

Marble is a Natural material, so the colour goes through the complete piece. You cannot change the colour AFAIK.

You could possibly paint it, but this isn't ideal and the paint will chip off sooner of later

No you can't do anything other than paint it which will ruin it. If you don't like it that much, sell it on ebay and buy another off there. They can be had very cheap as they are usually 'collection only' due to their weight.
