Tesco Club Card - Time Period To Make Purchases

Hi

I am thinking of applying for a Tesc Clubcard to get 0% on purchases for 18 months and possibly a small amount on a Balance Transfer 0% for 9 months.

I have 2 questions please: -

1. How long after receiving the card will I have to make purchases that are eligible for 0%? Does the Card Company restrict the time period, after which normal rates apply?

2. I use a Visa Charge Card - am I right to assume that Balance Transfers cannot be made to these type of cards?

I am sure these questions have been asked before but I cannot find reference to them, which is why I am asking now.

1. Any purchases you make in the first 18 months will be interest free until the date which is 18 months from the date your account is opened (which may be a few weeks before you receive your card).

2. Assume "Visa charge card" means a debit card linked to your current account? If so, your assumption is (generally, and absolutely with Tesco) correct.
