Why are Vehicles registered disabled?

Besides being on dla mobility component, what other reasons could a vehicle be registered disabled?
are there many other alternative reasons that a vehicle is registered disabled?
Disabled War Pensioners in receipt of the War Pensioners Mobility Supplement (for those disabled in Service prior to April 2005), or the Armed Forces Independence Payment (for those disabled in Service since April 2005) are also entitled to the Disabled Vehicle Road Tax.0 -

If you read down the page a bit it tells you what happens to those who only get the standard rate of Mobility under PIP.
50% VED will be available. Hope that helps Portly 1.
Thanks for the link.
Still confuses me a little as to how it can be said that you are classed as 'half disabled' with the standard rate of PIP. For years it has always been said that only the most disabled will be entitled to VED exemption.
But those are the rules as daft as they are.
As for it helping me personally, I doubt it as based on the current descriptors for PIP I won't even achieve the standard rate for mobility!
just hoping that I am not too near the front of the queue when the national roll out starts although the government have said that they 'expect' me to be in the first wave of those that are re-tested under PIP.0
