    I am getting a stiff neck looking for road - kill.:rotfl: Best I've done in 4 weeks is 1p. Shows what affluent areas you all must live in - FIVE POUNDS ??!!

    :D Some places are better than others to look - definitely go through the self service checkout at the grocery store. 9 times out of ten there will be at least one coin on the floor. The car park in the grocery store is also a good place as is the floor around bus-stops and parking ticket machines. If you like to go out to the pubs on a weekend, stay sober and try to keep an eye on the floor. TONS of coins to be had! Definitely look at crumpled up paper though - I've found 3 fivers in a little over a year so people drop them more than you realize! :)

    Well, I have resolved to cut down on what I spend on the lottery. I always put 2 lines on Euromillions, both draws and 1 line on the lotto, both draws and I used to play plus 5 too. As of next Saturday, I am only going to play one line on Euromillions. This will save me £9 this month considering the increase in lotto cost, no more plus 5 and what I have purchased already. So adding £9 to my total and will consider it normal as of next month. Cool! I realize the lottery is not very MSE but I enjoy it so much and I budget for it.

  • Hi all - back from my 3 week holibobs and finally over the jet lag so back in for this month!

    Will update on Sept first - £265 from overtime/on call in Aug (paid in Sept), £5 halifax reward, 7p, 3p and 68 p interest from various accounts, £12.27 from 123 account interest and £3.27 from 123 cc interest. Total of £286.32.

    October so far;

    £5 halifax reward,
    £3.14 123 cc cashback,
    £13 from cash 4 clothes - finally got round to getting rid of the 5 big bags taking up space, not much for the quantity but better than nothing and spare room can now be used again! And luckily they didnt even bother sorting through it as I might have had a few cheeky borderline items in there!
    £37.80 from tax back - finallly got round to claiming for some professional subscriptions for past 4 years! - they didn't approve my other one though as professioanl body has changed its name and HMRC have not updated their list - should have mentioned that it my letter, grrr! Now need to ring them up this week - at least they are changing my tax code so no need to claim every year - will just be automatically taxed less - always good!
    £16.15 from zumu for old DVDs - took about 2 months to come through but much higher return than music magpie and the like!
    Total of £75.09 so far.............

    I've just checked my maximiles and can't get the voucher option either - hopefully its only temporary!
