Electrician cost to connect cooker?

Moving into our new place in a couple of weeks :j But am rapidly realising how much I don't know about appliances & stuff!
I'd just assumed the company we're buying our cooker (Freestanding electric oven & hob) from would be able to connect it up same as the washing machine - but evidently not, having googled it a bit it seems it needs to be done by a NICEIC electrician.
So - will be getting on the phone to some sparkys on Monday but wondered what you'd consider a reasonable cost to connect up a cooker like this?
The previous occupants also had an electric cooker so it's already got the dedicated wiring for it, just needs connecting in. We're based in Berkshire if that makes a difference to cost...
Thanks v much for any information! :T

Free standing cooker - 20 - 30 mins tops to hard wire in, I would say £30 ish all in.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

I'd want to test the circuit first to make sure wiring is all OK - so a bit longer and don't forget some sparks have a minimum charge (mine is for 1 hour) and prices will depend on where you are located0

£45 is what i charge for the install, cable and testing/certificate for warrenty
i believe 45 to 55 is standard0 -
It will only take 2 mins to connect.
However a worth while spark will perform testing to ensure circuit is safe and appropriate for the new cooker.
Plus location
These are going to be the areas that will reflect your price.
As already mentioned, you will probably be charge a basic hourly charge so I would guess 1 hour. Plus an extras, cable, sleeving.
I hope your incoming gas and water has bonding, this should also be completed if not.0 -
Thanks for the replies folks.
Sounds like I should be allowing about £50... And talking to the sparky about testing the circuit etc. Good stuff!0
