Pop up adverts on tablet

Got a samsung note tablet. The kids use it to download free games from playstore. It now at a stage where icons are added on the background which is for more games etc. Majority of the time when i switch on a pop up advert comes up asking if i want access to or if i want to install a game etc.

Is there a way of getting rid of this?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

    Disconnect the wireless.
I find when I use mine without internet access it stops the adds appearing.

  • Buy the kids another tablet !

I don't think they are made to be shared really.

It is the "nuclear option" but a factory reset and then re-downloading what you want will work. You won't loose any paid for content and the Play store will have a list of all the apps you have downloaded.

Some apps are advert sponsored as opposed to paid for .
They may show a start up ad a ad at the bottom of the page or an ad on closing the app .

The 'nuclear option' isn't a big deal. I've done it half a dozen times for assorted reasons. It will solve the problem once and for all for you, then be selective about what you reinstall. It's an hour, tops, and your machine will run like new for doing it.

It may be a tracker. It won't do any harm to install and run RogueKiller and AdwCleaner.
