I'm trying to logon to a laptop I used to use and can't rremember the password!
Did a Google search which says I need a windows vista disk or borrow someone's. Both I don't have to reset the password.
Don't want to lose my files. Is there another way please?

Remove the hard drive, put it in a USB caddy, and connect it to a PC that you do use. Navigate to the files you need, copy/paste them to the new machine0
