Fluorescent tube not lighting

We have a fluourescent tube fixture in our kitchen. It has two 1.5m 65W (58W now) tubes in.
A number of years ago, one side stopped working. We replaced tube & starter. But still no good.
Now the other side has stopped working.
Again, new tube, new starter, no joy.
We now have no light at all.
Any ideas?

It is quite possible that the connections to the tube light pins may have worked loose over time. You can check by pushing a suitably insulated screwdriver on either end cap with the light switch on.
If it is a more modern fitting with individual electronic ballasts, they may have failed.
It usually isn't worth trying to repair the old fitting since a new one will cost around £20-30:

More likely to be the ballasts as has been said but could be the end caps, given the age of the fitting I would get a new one.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
