                    Hello,
I have previously entered our details on HMRC's tax credits calculator, which told me we are not entitled to any tax credits etc.
However, having spoken to colleagues in near identical situation who receive tax credits, I thought I would check again.
On the MSE calculator, it also states we are not entitled to anything.
However, the Turn2Us calculator does. I am now a little confused. I double checked the entries and they appear to be correct.
I personally would be surprised if we were entitled - but would appreciate any advice about the results from the Turn2Us calculator.
Our info (all gross amounts before deductions):
Married couple
I work 38 hours a week in employed work (£33,000pa). I also do 3 hours a week self employed work (£6,000pa)
My wife works 19 hours part time (£7,500pa).
We have a child who is 1 year old but do not have any childcare costs. We live together, in a mortgaged house and have savings of around £15,000.
Turn2Us says we should get: £62.88 per week child tax credit, £21.84 council tax, £20.30 child benefit.
This doesn't seem right. I have probably entered something wrong - but really cannot see where.

You entered wrongly. You are not entitled as the cut off for 1 child with no childcare or disabilities is £26,000 per annum.0

Have to agree - you would not be entitled to tax credits.
I don't know whether you entered the details incorrectly but having just used the turn2us calculator I noticed it now has a new format (last few days?) so perhaps it was churning out the wrong information when it was in the process of being 'changed'!0 -
            table is here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/people-advise-others/entitlement-tables/work-and-child/work-no-childcosts.htm
the figure you quote would be payable if you had a joint income of around £17.5k
something must have been wrong with the tool as apart from the child benefit the other elements are wrong0 -
Thank you. I suspected it was an error in the calculator. Cheers all.0
