  • Happy Saturday everyone :j

Thanks for starting us off Carrie. Glad to see your OH is at least trying, hope he sticks with it & becomes as MSE as you are. I'm afraid I'm not as crafty as that but if you won't get it finished in time, maybe buy her a supercheap gift just so she has something to open on the day (even something as little as a terrys choc orange maybe, mmm) & pop in a photo of what you've made so far with a little note on to apologise for it not being ready on time? If you go with the choc orange idea you can wrap it up to look like a reindeer, super cute! I've done it before & it's really easy.
Ally - Thanks for all your links! I've just printed the yoghurt coupon (it hasn't printed very well though as once again I am running out of black ink, hope they accept it!) & I received my free Baileys sample today too.
DNMS - I hope you get paid more than me to do all that then! Hope your relaxing day goes to plan despite the mass amount of batch cooking you'll be doing!

    Today's plan:-

    • Food from stores
    • Dinner from meal plan - Thai green curry, mmm
    • Log calories & exercise on free apps
    • Checked birthday bingo
    • Check online banking & move funds around
    • Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
    • Enter some comps
    • Do some surveys
    • Declutter & flylady
    • Heating off, fleecey dressing gowns on instead
    • Keep an eye on items listed on fleabay
    • Go to second job this evening, walking there & back with DH so we can partake in a few bevvies
    • Printed coupon for free yoghurt & received free sample of Baileys, thank you Ally
    • Pay off CC H2 & close account :j
    • Update signature!
Hope you're all ok & have a great MSE day x

  • I've not been on here for ages so hence to say I've been spending. Not making an excuse but I have had my first Grandchild 6 months ago and been buying"bits" for him when he comes to stay. All got a bit out of hand even though I've bought second hand things.
Anyway I am now going to be doing my best to make extra mortgage payments and some off my energy bill of £350. I want to clear this before the next bill in December and I also pay £50 d/d every month towrds the next bill.
Whenever I get the urge to spend on non essentials, I log onto the energy company and pay what I was going to spend, off my balance.

    So today
    * paid an extra £10 off energy bill
*got a loaf baking in bread maker
    * cleaned the car interior
*washed all whites and pegged them out
    * used homemade cleaning products and cleaned kitchen floor
*fed cat on some leftover chicken bits that were lurking in the freezer from God knows when.
*taking Grandson for a walk to park.

Not much in the way of paying things but a start to getting back on track and staying off ebay etc.
Feels good to be back x
NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5
    Food
    £73.57/£122 (incl. pet food)
    Petrol £20/£40
    Exercise 2/15 Outings 1/2
    Debt  £18,917
  • I did 5 hours overtime for the princely sum of £84.28

Unfortunately semi-fell off the DFW wagon...

£9 on Arctic Monkeys CD (It's BRILLIANT)
£4.50 on Cod and Chips mmm
£5 on flowers for Mrs Sam_In_Leeds
    £6 bottle of wine.

But at least still £59.78 in the right direction. very close to the first time in about 10 years I'll be less than £1000 in debt!
I spent 90% of my money on women, drink and fast cars. The rest I wasted. ...

Thanks ally. How thick was your stuff? I don't think that the standard 7mm stuff is going to be thick enough (says a lot about our door...). The stuff on ebay is 12mm.

The stuff we got from Tesco was 10mm.

    Hi again,

Had a lovely day today: Hiked to the next village to have a look at Craft Fair, Veg Show and Garden Centre. All free, spent nothing.

:starmod: OH made 1kg of jam with the blackberries we foraged on the way home along the shore and sugar from Goodie bag.

:starmod: Baked egg whites and sugar from Goodie bag into meringues.

:starmod: Used eggs from Goodie bag to make four Scotch eggs.

  • Morning everyone!

Ally - thanks I will look into the tesco stuff asap :)

Tiggy - wouldn't it be awesome to be a fraud victim where they PAY your debts?! :rotfl:

    DNMS - freezer nooooooooo.

Perni and DNMS - yup poor OH he is a pain in the bum but he's a good kind man, just a little messed up sometimes!

Perni - please share instructions on the reindeer choc orange thing. That sounds brilliant :)

Well we got a bit over excited yesterday and went out... not very mse because it costs a lot in taxis from ours to the nearest town but we took out an agreed amount from our personal spends and stuck to it. Even have some change left!

    To continue from yesterday's list:

B/D from stores. Maybe L too, depends on OH. Still drinking my free coffee. More whoopsie croissants for brekkie.

Have not tried the bread yet. Made a 500g loaf but it's very lopsided. Seemed to be a lot of salt in the recipe. Might be too salty for my liking.

Drop broken electrical items in at recycling centre on way to place we are going for a walk.

Roasting tomatoes for soup. Hoping to tempt OH with this instead of lunching at pub on the walk,

OH has promised to consider the lunch money idea.

Find insulation tape - thanks again ally :)

Good start I think. Hopefully will do some more through the day. :)

Morning! (I'm just making it on before 12!)

Bit of an unproductive day yesterday. Shopping was over budget, but i did bulk buy toilet and kitchen roll. I'm sure I have enough food for 2 weeks in atm...

    List for today :

    • Quick shower
    • Updated app for food shop yesterday
    • Heating off
    • Redo meal plan
    • Make lunch for tomorrow
    • Do SOME studying!
    • Might be going out for lunch with bf (I would prefer not to go tbh, even tho I won't be paying, think I'd rather grab a sandwich and crack on with my video lectures! - I'm solo behind)
    • Dinner from updated meal plan
    • NSD
