Pmsl she pays to comp via these unscrupulous so-called comp sites,
Oh and 1 other thing i find it amazing if you search her name via say 'congrats/winner/well done etc' in google i think i found only 1 prize?????????
I smell something beggining with B and ending in T
I could easily name 20 people from here who easily win more than that and do it for free!
Totally agree with you there - I saw a lot of the stuff is a bit 'naff' fair enough if she's won food and hampers and things, but the 'kitchen stuff' is like 6 things.
I also think more than 100 comps a day. I too can't find her on GOoogle.
But, more people seem put off by the idea than actually wanting to start. Especially by her list of 'best wins'xxx

That is defo weird if her name doesn't appear in google as most winner's names do! But why would this be a con?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Dont newspapers & mags 'offer' cash for your stories?
I mean theres loads of mse & popular fb people who win tons and tons of stuff and decent stuff, yet they dont need to sell their stories as they are happy like me.
Each to their own i suppose and if it helps get her through the day, and both blubella and nellie are correct in saying it can put people off, as many of us know comping is very very hard work for not that great a return on your time, but like me i worked hard may/june/july and saw very little (apart from makeup? which my oh was delighted with) but then got notified of my £1000 mag win which was from july, so as far as im concerned 3 months 8+ hours a day comping for £1000 was well worth it imo, and it has given me the uber comping mentality im so happy to comp for 3 months solid and win £1000 and maybe a few bits.
Have had 2 winning letters today though (first weekend wins ever) 1 for fishing stuff and 1 for champneys break so im 110% happy to comp, comp, comp.
Even if i only win something nice every few months that will do me!Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -

I agree with you about the offering of money for the article. Where has this woman come from? Did she contact the newspaper or did they find out about her and if so, how? It all seems a bit strange, I'm really bemused by the article and even more so after watching the video.
Well done on your 'weekend wins' :T and 'Keep on comping!':DGood luck to all x :hello:0 -
It annoys me when I see compers selling their story to magazines and newspapers. For starters, it's not even an interesting "story". Secondly, I find it a bit distasteful to boast about how much you've won. Especially when you are bragging about entering for things you don't want or need.
Many people work full-time and just don't have the spare hours to spend entering thousands of competitions - it must p*** them off no end to read articles like this.
Mainly it irritates me because it encourages more people to start comping, which means lower odds of me winning

I agree - I don't think it is good to brag when there are so many people out there struggling to get by! I also think it can alert burglars! ie you wouldn't leave your Christmas presents by the window or your laptop on the drivers seat in your car - so why would you allow photos of the masses of expensive prizes you have won in a national newspaper!?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

did she really say they moved house cos they needed more space for her winnings? lmao!0

I wonder why she still has all of her prizes and many still in their packaging!? I have comped now for a few years and all my prizes have either been used or in use, given a presents to family/friends, donated to charity/schools/hospital, sold on ebay! With her name not showing in a Google search, I am beginning to doubt her story is all so true? Why bother entering to win prizes just to stack them in a pile in your home for years?:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

I am just wondering if that article was intended to be a subtle plug for the 'Simply Prizes' website. That was the site showing on her laptop in the video clip within the article.
Ah Well. It makes a change from having 'Prize Finder' being plugged all the time!0 -

I too wondered this, it seems so wasteful, why would you bother to comp if you never use or make use of the prizes you win?:starmod: Looking for the lucky dust :starmod:
