Fridge smells - what to use to make it smell better

Does anyone have any tips on what I should put in my fridge to make it smell nice. It smells really bad at the moment when I open the door. It fills the air and lingers for quite some time. Its a combination of being away, of Camembert, sour milk, garlic, chopped onions and a few things that have gone off lol! Thanks a lot.

Well, if you've chucked away the off stuff and given it a good clean I'd leave a lemon cut in half in it. And use sealable tubs/bags for the non-off smelly stuff, lol.0

Have you actually tried cleaning it ? . :j0 -
All of the above! clean thoroughly, wipe down with watered down paste of bicarb of soda, and leave a cut lemon in there (but take it out before it starts to go off) I'd also check that the drainage hole in the back is clear.0

I'm guessing you have spilt some milk or dairy based product and it's now rotting
There will be a drain somewhere within the fridge to let out condensation and spillages. These often drain onto a catch try above the compressor, this gets hot and adds to the fermentation effect.
Get the bigger cleaned out properly rather than trying to mask the smell, or should I say, BACTERIA,:eek:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Post number 3 at 12.06 a.m. says I've cleaned it lol!
I've cleaned it twice. once with wul and once with bicarbonate. The later post about the tray is a good one so I'll take a good look at that and clean it. I'm not worried about bacteria as I've used anti bac as well. I just tried anything I could think of

I'm sure you will find a small hole that will need clearing with a cocktail stick or similar,;), I'd also check what has run through by checking round the back. But again just to emphasise what I said earlier, what you are smelling is bacterial action.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
