I've now got a loft - Yeah !!!!!

It shouldn't be damp as that wouldn't be good for the timber structure or the plaster ceiling below. It will swing between freezing cold in the winter and very hot in the summer so wouldn't put anything up there sensitive to temperature or delicate.
Personally I'd never store anything like paint, spray paints or anything flammable or pressurized due to the fire risk and the high risk of it rupturing and leaking when it gets hot in the summer.
Good point about the flammable stuff :T
No it shouldn't be damp, but if the ventilation isn't spot on, it will be from condensation from below. That was the 1st point I made earlier, as it's the most critical. Sometimes you only know there's an issue when stuff starts to go rusty up in the loft, the fungus and mould soon follows.;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I would think - I've got MICE !!
Absolutely
Only slightly related but I must mention this. I recently helped clean a loft out for a deceased relative. We had the garage to do too.
They had mice, but bad. Same issue with the bio degradable supermarket bags, mice then ate the contents. The insulation had to be removed because of the smell.
Even worse in the garage, so much junk, and smell. But this time it was different.
It involved a non biodegradable bag. But the mice had still got in this.
This attracted a cat, that also got in the bag, problem was, the cat didn't get out:eek::eek::eek::eek:, what a stinkI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

I often wonder why we have no spiders or webs in the loft its really weird everything stays perfectly clean and web/insect free up there, its almost like its sealed but it isn't as I can feel the air moving if its windy outside so it must get fresh air in but no spiders/mice or anything else.. maybe we have a ghost that frightens everything else away.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

You probably have a few spiders, but if there's nothing to feed on, they aren't going to hang around long.
I'm tittering to myself here, if you combine your post and my last 1, you almost have the complete "old lady that swallowed a fly" song.
No OP' you can't keep granny in the loft;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
