stripe card payments

Don't know if this is the right forum for to post this, maybe someone can help?

Basically, I have setup a new company and set up a stripe Account to enable me to take the odd card payment,

This was Setup nearly 5 weeks ago and part of the registration process was to provide proof of address ( drivers licence Or passport) which I did, however nearly 5 weeks on, my account is still not activated. I have still taken card payments but they will not release the funds (nearly £1000) until I'm verified!

I have tried emailing, all of their email addresses, sales, info, enquiries, support etc but still no email back!

Has anyone any experience with them?

Are you sure they are actually operating fully in the UK yet? It looks like they only launched in the UK in August so maybe they are having teething problems. Have you tried contacting them on Twitter (@stripe)?

Possible, I would like to hope it is teething problems, just glad I'm not relying on that cash to cover bills etc!

I've Read nothing but good things about them So hopefully its just a glitch.

I'll try twitter now and see if I get a response.

    Thanks for your reply :)

I must admit, I've had no problem with them either. There twitter support is pretty good. You should have luck there.

Well after a quick tweet I had a flood of emails from stripe and all has been sorted.

    Happy days!

Although I should never have had to resort to twitter just to get a response, I am happy with the way it was handled in the end.

Glad it's resolved, but you are right that it shouldn't be necessary to Tweet a company in order to get them to respond to all the other ways you have contacted them.
