Hi,
Would like to get DD a tablet. We will probably help/get her a laptop next year but can only afford a tablet right now. She will have sky bb at home and possibly a printer. She has a Blackberry phone.
Would like something that has a good battery life and easy to expand memory, Ideally it will be compatible with her phone. I expect it will be used for browsing, games, photos, films and email etc.
She won't have sky package set up till after 17 oct so should we wait for potential Christmas offers or get one now ?
Budget is £150 max
Looking to get her something so that she can take advantage of the bb included within her sky package and not have to rely purely on her mobile.
Have looked at so many my brain is mashed. Thanks for your help.

there are plenty of tablets out there that which work well on any wireless network (ie her sky broadband) but to be honest you should not buy a tablet based on its compatability to sky to be honest I didnt even think compatability to sky was a factor till I read this post.
As for compatability to her phone a Blackberry playbook is probably the closest to her phone you can get but its expensive and the spec itself is not that great I would advise getting a google nexus 7 currently £199 or reading up on some of the chinese tablets coming through that do much more than the playbook for nearly half the price.0 -
Maybe take a look at Tesco's new tablet, it seems to be getting some reasonable reviews and it's a good price at £119.

I only mentioned sky because we have just set this all up for her. It was an amazing deal because I had been with o2 bb. So we have paid her line rental and calls are £5 with free tv, bb and installation and new line connection. The phone line was the most important factor, but in order to take advantage of the bb we are hoping to buy her a tablet and then possibly a laptop next year.
We have a playbook but from reading up it's important not to allow it to run out of charge because it can cause major problems.
Our budget is £150 and having read up on so many I needed a bit of direction. would like to get something that is expandable and as versatile as possible so usb and hdmi are important as is battery life and build quality.
Another question, Can you print from a tablet and if so how ?
Thanks
