anyone who applied for a £750 allocation was guaranteed to get it - as announced yesterday. In fact anyone who applied for 10K or less gets £750.I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying0 -
Wow, that Singapore fund that was allowed to buy at any quantity unlike us must have made some good cash.. If I was them I would put a signed portrait of Vince Cable in their board room, he made them a lot of money today asking for nothing back and chose them over British citizens. He is a martyr to them.
Same goes for the City Investment groups who were allowed to make millions.
Just found out Vince Cable's son is based in Singapore. I wonder if is connected in anyway to the Singapore fund that was allowed free spending on these shares? Wouldn't be surprised in the least. He is scientist, but in 2008 Vince Cable suggested Hugo - his son, give it all up, and use his scientific training to open up a lucrative career as a City finance whiz. Would be interested to see Hugo's bank statements this last week..0 -

Feeling a little short changed. I applied for more than £10k mainly on the expectation of massive scaling back. Surely those who applied for more than this should have at least been allocated £750 worth of shares. For the record I wasn't just speculating just looking for a better return than my savings.
I agree with you. I think that all private investors should've been allocates £750's worth, and if that came to a little more than they'd expected to offer private investors, then the corporate investors should've made do with a little less.0 -

Those who missed out on 10/15k may well enter the market Tuesday next week, when prices may start to climb again. The Stock Market is a gamble, don't invest if you cant afford to lose.

Well bearing in mind that no retail investor (barring RM employees) received more than 227 shares, what are all those larger sales that have gone through today?
At 8am this morning, someone sold 173,517 shares at £4.50. Somehow I don't think that was "the little man". That trade grossed a profit of £208,220.40, not bad for a few seconds work eh?I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying0 -

Possibly brokers selling shares for retail investors in bulk. It's not worth the time for them to sell shares in the market in batches of 227 so they roll lots of customers orders up into a single big order.0 -

Well, at that price the yield looks fairly average for an income share.
Thanks for the fun, but it's bye bye RM shares, money will move into something less volatile now.0
