Jewsons win - prize not as advertised

Hi
In August I had a WEM to say I'd won a prize in Jewson's monthly draw. It was a Bali hardwood patio set worth £550. I was obviously over the moon.
The prize was delivered a few weeks later, but it wasn't the patio set that was advertised, and instead, was clearly a cheaper set (smaller table, no reclining chair and no parasol). I emailed and rang the lady from the WEM who promised to look into it.
After MANY calls and emails, I finally received an email today, saying that the new set was sent as the advertised one was out of stock. She added that they can't replace it, but as a gesture of goodwill they'll send me a wooden planter (rrp £50).
I've looked up the patio set that I received and it's worth approx £250.
Now. I really really don't want to sound ungrateful - and if I'd had a WEM saying I'd won a patio set worth £250 I'd be over the moon, but seeing as I was meant to get the better model, I can't help but feel I've been duped.
Is there anything I can do do you think, or should I just shut up, be grateful with the set I've got and accept the £50 planter?
Thanks in advance all you clever and insightful peeps

I would respond politely saying that that doesn't seem fair to you, as you feel that a replacement for a prize that was advertised as being worth £500 should also be worth £500. However, you've decided to ask the advice of Edwin Mutton of the IPM and you'll abide by what he says.
That should stir things up a bit, hopefully.0 -
They are still running the comp until end of Sept, same prize so being very naughty. you won the August comp so Sept winner will also be disappointed
Still advertised on website http://www.jewsonlandscaping.co.uk/garden-structures/furniture-and-bbqs/bali-set but now £576
I personally think they are trying it on. You should not have to chase a prize to this extent. I would go direct to the MD of Jewson Peter Stringer I think. There is a way to get direct details for MD's, but I can't remember, sure someone on here knows.
Outline your thoughts and ask what he thinks about it (telling him before you contact IPM) Should sort it. Good luck and keep us posted.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

They have the fairly standard T&Cs about alternative prizes
The Promoter cannot be held
responsible for failure to deliver as a result of industrial action or other circumstances beyond its
control. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer an
alternative prize of equal or greater value0 -
Excellent detective work by brownhandbag.
I'd be inclined to say that as they're offering the prize again for September they're obviously expecting more stock so you would prefer to wait until that arrives. Then see what they come back with. Contacting Edwin Mutton is really a last resort IMO.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

yeah agreed I would send a reply like that back but I would also email Edwin Mutton and see what he advises, he is excellent at these things and has helped me a few times in the past

As they still have it for sale on their website so they must be expecting more stock if they dont have it already. Its a lovely prize so good luck with resolving this (and fingers crossed for the September prize!).0

The current comp is here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4765706
Can someone maybe take a screenshot of the comp page on their site just in case the C&P in the link is not accepted.
Personally I think they should give the prize as it is described or monetary compensation.0 -
