Best family accomodation in Paris?

We'll be visiting Paris in August 2014 for about 3 or 4 nights and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for accommodation for families (2 adults, 2 kids aged 5 and 10)? Thanks:D

Not particularly cheap but comfortable and has interconnecting rooms - the Hotel Megaro, about 10mins walk from the Eiffel Tower. Rooms smallish (as in all of Paris) but modern and well-presented. Nice breakfast area in the basement, very helpful staff, good free wifi.

I've stayed at Novotel Porte de Orleans and had a family room. This was two years ago so you'd need to check current prices. It's right at the end of the metro line but with a 'travel card' worked out well. Plenty of restaurants nearby for evening meals or sometimes ate in hotel.

I've always stayed in hotels for city breaks but some American cousins recently did Madeira/Lisbon/London staying in s/c apartments and it sounded really good value plus they had a lot more space and freedom. Another friend's done the same in Venice and Sorrento. I don't have any sites to recommend but it's worth looking into.

As long as you don't go for Jarry nor Novotel Porte de la Chapelle

Stayed in both in February 2ad, 2ch. Would never return.
