OP, you ned to look at it this way -

List item for £15.00 with free p&p = £150 in FVFs
List same item as £10 + £5 p&p still = £1.50 with new rules in place

Now, under the old rules, the difference would be 50p more profit by charging P&P on top of item price.
NO-ONE will save ANYTHING on their fees. EVERYONE will now pay the same FVFs regardless of how they list.
The only difference is between listing fees if you are selling as a business or as private.

Anyway, if you list at 99p (or only list on FLDs), you would still pay less in fees than if you sold the same item at a bricks and mortar auction house who sell for average hammer fees of 12%+VAT.

If you don't like ebay, then try Ebid.

Anyway, for those of you who DO want to do SOMETHING, don't lose faith. This petition has only been going just over a week and has more signatures than any other eBay related petition.

Search : "Investigate if eBay's new policy of charging 10% for postage costs is legal"

I would save your energy and try and find products with a bigger profit margin.
  • If you are not happy with the T&C that ebay use then just sell somewhere else

I don't see the problem, adjust prices accordingly, everybody else is int he same boat so will have to do the same.

May as well just offer "free p&p" and get bumped up the listings while you are at it.

LOL! 130 signatures so far!! That's gonna have some impact that petition!!

This person is spamming various forums with this nonsense and has already been criticised on the ones I have seen.

Is it just me how can see it from a running ebay point of view.

Many sellers selling at 1p + £10, postage for items which cost £1 to post. Tried limiting postage in certain catagories but it was too much work to calculate fair rates in all catagories, abuse still happening...

...sorry only choice left to level the playing field is charge all the same.

No its not just you. Most people can see why and adapt. Its generally the minority that like to complain.
