Cashback Credit Card to Balance Transfer

I have a cashback credit card which I recently got to get the benefits (which I now plan to use for all my spendin). I've also recently received a 0% balance transfer card as I intend to make a couple of larger purchases soon.

If I make the purchases on the cashback card, and then BT to the 0% card would I still be credited with the cashback or not?

Read the terms of your card but normally yes.

Of cause the ~3% BT fee will probably be larger than any cashback you'll be earning by using one card then the other

But the fee has nothing to do with the cashback, it's not one or the other. The BT is to avoid needing to pay off the entire balance in a month.

BTs are treated as a payment to the card, so has no effect on cashback eligibility either (unless you haven't cleared the card completely and don't make the min payment thinking that the BT counts as a min payment - it might do on some cards but not others)

It would have made more sense for the OP to 'receive' a card with 0% on purchases instead.
