Hi All,
My work van has developed the below problems
Central Locking not working
Electric Windows not working
Drivers Side speaker not working
Warning Saying driver side door open when its not
Indicators flashing faster when in use
Hazards randomly flashing
What could the problem be? Waiting to see if its still under warranty
cheers

Body-door loom connections are broken for some reason would be my guess, or a main loom connector on the driver's side. Either because there's a connector which is loose, corroded or disconnected between door and body, or due to chafed (NB: NOT CHAFFED - pet peeve) wiring between the two.
Door loom alone would explain most of it except the indicators (unless there's an indicator in the mirror and that's mounted to the door - I'm not familiar with the Connect).0 -
sounds like a vw i had0

Faster Indicators is normally a sign that one of the indicators isn't working - either faulty or a blown lamp. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Yeah, I should have made clearer what I meant, I realise. In this case I expect a basic wiring issue is the root cause, but what I meant was that although most symptoms point to the body-door loom, the indicators issue points to wiring in the body. I suspect there's a big multiway connector somewhere up under the dash on the offside which is loose or corroded... but like I say, I don't know Connects at all.0 -
Whil I suspect BeenThroughItAll is correct, there's one other thing you could try - the IT solution to everything - switch it off and on. In this case, I mean disconnect the battery for about 20 seconds, then reconnect it.
...just in case it's one of the computers in the van that needs a reset.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
