Apple IPod Touch - 6th Generation due soon?

I am looking at buying an IPod Touch as a Christmas present and as there has recently been a new batch of I Phone models released I wondered if anyone knew if an updated IPod Touch is also due soon?

I doubt you'll see one soon.
Strong suspicions are that the iPod Touch 6th Generation will come out around the same time as the iPhone 6, i.e. in about a year.

I have been wondering that too! I keep looking at the Ipod Touch 5g but wonder if should be waiting in case the new model comes out and it then drops in price!

I just hope that when they do replace the iPod Touch they'll put a bit more effort into the audio quality which I think is very poor on the 5G compared to previous models.

I consider an iPod should first and foremost be about music and I really think Apple lost this focus in their rush to include too many bells and whistles.
