Anyone ever tried cooking through a whole cookbook?

Years ago I got some booklets (from Hampton Court, I think) on recipes adapted from the Stone Age right up to the 19th century, and I cooked all of those. Great fun. The Victorian chicken with marmalade and coconut was the nicest. I've done some Roman recipes (Apicius) before as well (passed on the roast dormice and sow's udders in milk though)."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

what a good idea - I might try it with the "healthy one dish Cooking " book (yes I'm trying to loose weight
)
I own lots...and lots...and far too many really - cookery books..but this one is the one I flick through when menu planning..as its all very achievable in a day to day way but there are some recipes I don't try..and perhaps I should push myself a bit more - I've linkied the title in case anyone else was interestedFight Back - Be Happy0 -
I bought Jamie Oliver's new book a few weeks ago, and I really am working my way through it!
Week one was beef. Sunday roast, then recipes to use it up. As there are (usually) only two of us, I am also making much better use of the freezer. I know he is not a popular chap on here, accusations of it being penny pinching for the middle class, but it really has help me focus on what to buy, rather than buying half the shop:o
Week two was salmon, and we are just about to start on lamb week- yummy;)0 -
