Standing order to liquidated company

Hi. I've been really stupid and only just realised that I have been paying a standing order each month to a business that went in to liquidation 3 years ago. Is there any way I can get my money back? I've cancelled the standing order now. Thanks

I'm assuming this is for a service you're no longer receiving because the company no longer exists rather than a debt owed to them?
If this is the case contact the liquidators, they should not have been accepting payments into the companies account for services.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Why did you not check at an earlier date ?
Im always checking that and DD's/SO's are corect and if they need canceling i get rid of them.0 -
Has the company been struck off yet? I'm just wondering where the money has been going. You need to contact the liquidator but be ready for him to try and duck the problem. But you might find it is the bank either yours or the receiving bank that is at fault.
With luck the liquidator might help you sort it out.0
