Requesting total from seller?

I want to buy 3 items from a seller. They are happy to discount postage but it doesn't happen automatically, I need to request a total from them. I expected it to be straight forward but I can't figure out how to do it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There should be a big 'request total' link on your purchase page.

Thanks, that's what I thought but it's not there. I have checked about ten times, lol. I have gone right through to the page where it says confirm and pay and there is nothing.
I added items to basket first as it is 3 different items but that wouldn't make any difference would it?

Ah, I see, if you haven't paid you can't request a total. All you can do is use 'ask seller a question' on item and ask them.

Your problem sounds like seller has been put onto the immedaite payment required trial and as he will be paying FVFs on the total you paid may well not want to reimburse any over payment if you buy and then ask.

All you can do is email and tell him what you want to buy and explain that you cannot buy unless you pay and can he assist you to give the discount .

Ok, I will do that. Thanks for your help :)
  • I do it all the time. Do `buy it now` and commit to buy but don`t pay yet. I browse the sellers shop next and buy something else and follow the above procedure. When I have finished shopping, I go to my ebay, purchases and click on the link that says `request total`. Works every time

Add items to basket, go to basket page and above the items is a button "request total from seller".

I had a recent problem in trying to send a combined invoice to a buyer & it just wouldn't let me adjust the p&p cost on the invoice, so in the end I did it by doing it as a discount, which worked & messaged the buyer to let her know what what was.

It's possible your seller could do something like this if no other way to get combined p&p can be found at the moment.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
