Sadly councils love to target motorists as cash cows, if ticketing by CCTV ceases, they will only find another way to milk the golden cow.

    For example
Increasing P&D charges, increasing parking permits rates, extending P&D rates to become 24 hours a day, axing the night-rate [ie £1 between 20:00 and 7:00]

Thinking positively though, we are getting closer to election time, politicians like doing this sort of thing a year or so before an election...

Also, surely the truth about the BPA will dawn on the ministers at some point. Swirling out there in the virtual world I've seen the email chain where DfT officials and BPA are squabbling about the content of the POPLA website, so its not that they arent now aware that the word of the BPA should be taken too seriously.

The way I see it, the government wont retract something like schedule 4 of pofa because that would be admitting they were wrong. But with the right amount of pressure they might see the wisdom in aligning things with the system for public tickets - thats what pofa wasw meant to do after all!

And just think of that beautiful future where ppc's have to follow the same systems as councils. Think what might happen is the proposed system of they pay you if the ticket is flawed was introduced. That would f*ck them totally :P It's nice to dream!

Yep, but hanging on to the shirt tails of the Conservatives to continue their delusion of 'power' :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
