Evening all.

Apologies to begin with, as it's yet another one of those laptop/help the uneducated type posts...

Have seen the following laptop in Tesco this evening, and they're offering an extra 2000 CC points with it.

It seems to be good value for what you get, however whether the AMD processor puts it on the backburner due to all the negativity towards it, compared to Intel is another question

Or is there another laptop out there for a similar price?

1TB HDD and 8GB of ram seems bloody good, but can this be matched with an Intel i5?

Cheers

There fastest A10 able to match i3. This is a slow A4, not worth the money!
What is the main use of the laptop?
    Is touchscreen necessary?

Edit: That laptop sold £376 with 4GB RAM & 500GB HDD in amazon. for normal application, 4GB RAM should be enough

If it was maybe £300 - £320, it might be a fair deal for a basic laptop. But you can do much, much better for £450

  • Thanks for the input guys.

Maybe touchscreen isn't needed, but will need it for internet, email, Office and potentially Football Manager. Would need an HDMI port so I can connect to the TV.

I don't know whether it's worth waiting for the Haswell processors to come out.
