Toilet roll holder. Help!

Hi all,
Wondering if any competent DIY'ers (which I definitely am not!) could help me. I'm trying to tighten my extremely loose toilet roll holder, but can't see any way of doing it. Pictures should show how wonky it is, and the fixture at the bottom, which I was expecting to be a screw, but instead is just a little metal thing. I can't figure out what to do at all! Any help greatly appreciated as always!

It's a bit hard to see. Is it round or does it have sides ?0

The metal thing? (Sorry, no idea what it would be called!) it's round, and seems difficult to remove. I've tried to see if if can get it out using pliers and then nail clippers (!) but no luck. Guessing there might be a screw inside?Mortgage received 21/12/2018

Try something blunt. See if you can get under it and ping it off. Or have you tried that.
A blunt knife might work.0 -
Looks like the thread to the outer bracket has become stripped. I would try and use a small self tapping screw, which is slightly larger than the existing grub screw, and screw that into the existing hole until it starts to go stiff.
Hope this works if you decide to try it.0 -

I was just looking at it again and I might be wrong about it being round. Will try and buy an Allen key tomorrow as well!Mortgage received 21/12/2018

you undo the grub screw with an allen key, then take the handle off, and the main part of the handle either sits on a brakcet fixed to the wall, if the bracket is loose, tighten it, if it's just the grub screw, tighten that.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
