Hi,
I have recently (today) received a indemnity refund through my bank
against BT.
Should I immediately cancel my direct debit with them.
Will they attempt to take the money again if I do not ?
Many thanks

Impossible even to guess without knowing the full story.
Generally, by the rules, they have to inform you somehow in advance before any transaction.0 -
An indemnity refund normally results in automatic cancellation of the DD by the bank - but best to double check0

Not in my experience ... as a claim under the DD guarantee just means they've made one mistake, not that you never want to pay them again!
I'd have been pretty annoyed if Nationwide had cancelled my NPower DD when I made a DD claim earlier this year.0
