    I must be then... :D

I put no income in for last year as it says don't include benefit income only contribution based. Is that where I have been going wrong?

I don't know what is up with the CTC, It's always about a fiver a week lower than it says so I always get a cheque at renewal... It's like a mini savings account!

Also, whilst I have a thread open. What student finance is taken into account with Tax Credits? Because when I rang to change my circumstances and told them I was going to Uni when did I need to let them know about my finance they said that nothing is taken into account not even the loan which I thought was...

I don't understand how I can get an extra £10k and they don't want to know about any of it?

That's right, i put nil income for last year as well.

Not sure where you entered it wrong. If you got £113 that would exactly match my £98 + the 30 hr element. Did you make sure you selected 16 to 29 hours?

You need to make sure tax credits add the two disability elements on. Have you told them about your DLA?

The info re your student income is correct. Confirmed here. Only the dependents grant needs to be declared http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/start/claiming/income-hours/other-income.htm

Nope 16-29 hours. I don't think my wage would go through at that rate for 30+ hours as it would be less than the NMW.

I'm obviously poo pooing it up somewhere, Looks like the LPA at the JC did too. Though to be fair she did say they weren't supposed to be doing those anymore.

I mean it's not a massive thing as long as the disability element goes on. I've told them about my DLA and I am pretty sure I meet some of the criteria in part 1 of the work assessment and I've got my nurse to give me her details and the doctors as my medical professional if they request them.

Can't believe they don't count the SF. Does the council for HB?!
