Years ago when Prudentail plc floated 21% of its Internet banking business "Egg Bank plc" (the early days of the Internet bubble) I bought about 120 "Egg" shares at £1.60 each (invested £200). If I remember right, these had lost value when the shares of the loss making bank were bought bank by Prudential plc and as I had lost interest in almost bankrupt Egg Bank I did not act on selling my shares before the share swap during the take over by Prudential plc and I received 27 ordinary shares of 5p each instead (a package worth about £30 at the time).
Looking at price of "Prudential plc ORD 5p shares" today my 27 shares seem to be worth £30k or £1,170.00 each??? Is anybody here familiar with the Egg - Prudential share swap? Am I misunderstanding something and how can I sell my Prudential 5p shares before financial shares crash again?
