3 Phase and 3 meters problem

Hi, am trying to resolve a problem for my parents.
They have 3 phase installed in domestic premises and used for woodworking machinery (serious hobby but low usage!) This is metered through 3 separate meters. They are supplied by EDF. I only recently got involved and discovered that they are only being charged for one phase. After several emails and phone calls EDF say they cannot cope with this supply situation and have suggested they change suppliers.
Would appreciate advice on resolution of this situation and rather than contacting potential suppliers at random does anyone know of a supplier that can cope or any other solution? I note from other threads that many 3 phase supplies seem to use a single meter, can I get the metering changed and how?
Looking back many years in their bills note that Scottish Power used to supply them but levied 3 standing charges and overcharged for units.....

Any help appreciated please.

I have a domestic restricted hrs. three phase supply with single multiple readout teleswitch meter for heating, and a single phase meter with single readout for 24hr household use.

    Supplied by e-on
  • OP, I would document all of your parents dealings with EDF telling them that they are not reading/charging for 2 meters. I would make at least 2 attempts to get them to rectify the situation. Keep all of the evidence that proves you have tried to get it resolved.
Then sit back and enjoy free electricity, well it will be free for your parents. If EDF eventually cotton on they will only be able to back bill for the last 12 months.

I suspect John's post above is not referring to 3 phase but just an E10 type of supply.
  • Unfortunately parents are elderly and aren't comfortable with the current situation continuing - they want everything tidied up. Fair enough so would still like to sort it for them.
