  • yea you can complain about the payday companys.

But to deal with the Debtcollectors send a prove it letter and give them 12days. Dont let them bully you, dont argue with them, just say you want proof of an aledge debt and proof they are the legal owners.

    Be the boss ;)
  • I genuinely have no idea hence where I've asked them for the information so I can see what's happening but they've failed to provide it in 2/3 months since I requested it

In all honestly if I owe them money I'm happy to pay it I just want to make sure the default dates they have put that are wrong are put back right

They actually used it as a tactic to get me to pay right away " if I pay they will ensure that the date is amended to the correct one "

Like I say I don't mind paying I just won't do it until the info is correct
I'm pretty sure they HAVE to report accurate data anyway and can't use it as a negotiating tactic. Unless obviously they offered to remove it altogether lol then I would

And this is the original creditor not the dca. I've had nothing from the dca other than letter of assignment

ok the original collector sold it and are not legally responsible to collect it anymore, they couldn't care about it thats why they sold it.

a notice of assignment isn't really proof the DCA legal owner.

You can write to them recorded delivery. You will promise to pay the full amount of alleged debt if they provide you proof it exists in the form of, deeds of assignment, original credit agreement in 12+2 days. and you dont want the notice of assignment or photocopys.
    dont send DCA £1.

If they cant prove the debt exist then you can write to credit reference agency with copy of your proof to take it off.
